These fire rated recessed downlights are designed for use in ceilings where the fire rating must be retained but without requiring the use of fire hoods. The fittings are ventilated to reduce heat build-up, have an internal self-sealing intumescent lining and provide a sealed barrier between the underside of the ceiling and the soffit ring in the event of fire. Rating 60 minutes. They are accoustically rated and comply with BS467-20 & 23 as required by the Building regulations Parts B & E.
