Bedroom lighting
Here in the bedroom, in order to create pools of light, downlighters can be used very effectively especially if a restfull light without any hard contrasts is to be achieved. Lamps can be used either side of a bedroom dressing table, this will give a good light for make up etc. Pictures can be illuminated effectively & the use of table lamps is invaluable.
Reading Lamps are obtainable in either freestanding or wall mounted versions depending upon the space available & your personal taste of course. The bedroom, apart from sleeping, can be used as somewhere to escape to and relax. Individually controlled bedside lamps can be used for reading.
It is possible to have bedside lighting controlled from the local lighting circuit using a 5 Amp plug & socket system.This means that they can be switched on when entering the room and switched off from beside the bed, by using a two-way switching system. Obviously this means altering the local lighting circuit wiring, ask a qualified electrician for advice on the various possibilities.
